Michael Heart is a Registered Home Inspector (RHI) and the founder of TO Inspect Ltd., serving homeowners, buyers, and real estate professionals throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. With a meticulous eye for detail and a passion for helping clients make informed decisions, Michael has built his reputation on thoroughness, transparency, and exceptional client education.
Before entering the home inspection industry, Michael spent years in the construction and renovation sector, gaining hands-on experience with residential building systems from foundations to rooftops. This practical background gives him unique insights into how homes are built, where problems commonly develop, and what maintenance practices extend the life of a property.
As a member of the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors (OAHI) and holder of multiple professional certifications—including WETT certification for wood-burning appliances and Level 1 Thermography for infrared imaging—Michael stays at the forefront of industry standards and inspection technology. He regularly attends continuing education seminars and keeps current with changes to the Ontario Building Code.
Michael is also recognized as a Tarion warranty expert, having conducted hundreds of Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and Year-End warranty inspections for new home buyers. His familiarity with Tarion's construction performance guidelines helps clients identify warrantable deficiencies and navigate the warranty claim process effectively.
